Project Wendigo

Not your average duo. Joyous, hopeful, heartbroken, angry, and sometimes just out for the
fun of the moment. Come dance, listen, and enjoy the music, both original and creative.

Soundweaver

Brought together originally as the voice and guitar for the Mythic Folk band Ashagal,
Soundweaver allows the two artists to step out of the limitations of genre and bring you the
spirit music they both love. Ranging from folk, to contemporary and experimental; the two
try to give voice to the ephemeral and share their experience of spirit through song, be it
songs of the gods themselves, or music inspired by the growth of their individual journeys.

Belly Dance by Lorenda

Lorenda is an ecstatic dancer in the Dionysian tradition who enchants with swirling swords
and silk veils, wings, fabulous fans and fire. Her repertoire fuses the styles of Egyptian raqs
sharqi, American cabaret and tribal fusion. Hailing from the southern New Jersey Shore, she’s
been mesmerizing audiences since 2009 as a solo artist, with internationally acclaimed
Soraya’s Mid-East Dance and Music Productions, the Burning Hearts Fire and Light Theater,
the Daughters of Terpsichore troupe, and more. She's performed at events ranging from the
traditional to the offbeat – from the beaches and casinos of Atlantic City to the desert sands
of Burning Man, from upscale Persian weddings and exotic Arabian nights to avant-garde
art galleries and frolicking fairy festivals.
Lorenda is also a bellydance instructor who encourages people to dance regardless of
gender identity, age, size, shape or fitness level.
“In ancient times, bellydance was believed to be a sacred dance to honor the Goddess,”
she says. “Bellydance has helped me get more in touch with that divine aspect in myself.
Through my shows and classes, I try to awaken this spiritual joy in others and help them
get in touch with their sacred selves.”
